People in Focus is implementing a two-part capacity building programme in Albania under MOVES, focusing on participatory democracy, inclusive governance and active citizenship.
The programme brings together citizens, young people, civil society actors, community representatives and local stakeholders to strengthen practical skills for civic participation and local decision-making. Across the two trainings, participants explore EU values, participation barriers, community mapping, public consultation, participatory budgeting, civic monitoring, inclusive planning and cooperation between citizens, CSOs and local institutions.
The activities use interactive and non-formal learning methods, including group work, simulations, peer exchange, reflection sessions and collaborative exercises. Participants are also introduced to practical tools that can support community engagement and the development of local initiatives. The training results are expected to feed into later MOVES outputs, including peer reflection and the Community Practice Compendium.
